• the culture of the American classroom
• the American education system
• what to expect from American students
10:30am - 2:00pm GTA Symposium
Symposium topics include
• engaging and motivating your students
• strategies for grading effectively
• teaching critical thinking
• effective classroom management
• what to do on the first day of class
• designing a syllabus
• preparing for a career in academe
All events associated with this program are RECOMMENDED for all graduate students who are currently TAs or will be taking on TA responsibilities at the University at Albany.
