Technology Leadership Academy 2009:
Web-Enhanced Courses

This is a two-day compressed seminar/workshop (for first-time or minimal users of web-based course management systems) for developing online course components and interactions in ways that improve student learning. If enrollment exceeds available slots, qualified applicants will be accepted on a first-come-first served basis.

Not only does Blackboard facilitate teaching and classroom management, pedagogically sound uses of Blackboard tools can also make learning more transparent for your students and can allow you to do things that improve communication and foster connections between students and the outside world.  In this workshop you will get hands-on practice in some of the major functions of Blackboard and start to design activities in your own classes that encourage student engagement and accountability, and improve transparency in communication and assessment. Some topics covered in this two day workshop include: Timeline for participation
